Katie and Jefferson threw Stetson THEEEE cutest 1 year old birthday party!! I couldn't even handle the creativity! What a lucky boy! All camping theme.
Craig just bought a motorcycle and was giving out rides afterward.
Morrison Ranch had a cute, little Easter activity I signed Tanner up for. We got a basket at the beginning and "hopped" down the trail, doing different activities sponsored by vendors. He got his face painted, loved the petting zoo and feeding the ducks.
How about that view? Haha! He has to wear his pants low on his hips. He's getting a reputation for selling crack!
It was Olive's turn to accompany Travis to a Suns game!
I got to watch these sweet boys. I love them so much!
Tanner always begs me to stay and have lunch with him after I'm done volunteering in his classroom. I usually oblige.
Travis and I managed to fit in a day date to the Mesa temple and then got some Thai food that was recommended to us. It was fine but won't go back.
Olive had another dance competition! It was far out in Scottsdale so we spent a lot of time at the hotel and got home very late. It's so fun watching her dance! She even won a scholarship at this one which is cool because NRG is the one our studio is doing nationals at this summer so she's invited to participate in a special number.
The Young Men participated in a triathlon in Thatcher one weekend. They camped out on a football field then woke up early to do the race. Sounded cold to me! I think it was hard on Weston. With his allergies, he struggles with breathing. Proud of them for doing it!
Our microwave died! I swear, everything is going out.
When you need to dry a freshly washed uniform fast, the car window works great! This yellow color kills me. They look like bananas.
Tanner finished up his baseball season too! He loved it! We had to work on not throwing the bat after he got a hit. He would hit the ball and let it fly! It's a miracle no one got hurt! I would spin as he swung so he got the award for most contagious smile and twirliest swing!
The Kona truck came to school!
He's my buddy when I go visit Grandma Ann!
We went to the MCO concert and it was amazing, per usual. They sang a peppy, gospel song called, "I'm so Blessed" that I am now obsessed with!
We made a healthy "Snickers" date with Emerson! You cut open the date and take out the pit then put a little peanut butter in the center and close it. Dip in melted dark chocolate and sprinkle with sea salt or crushed peanuts. They are delicious!
The church near us was doing a car wash fundraiser so I pulled in. Got the giggles from the kids whapping my windshield over and over with their wet rags. I'm not sure if my car looked better or worse afterward but hey, charity.
Olive got invited to go with Jacquie on Allie's birthday date! The girls got all fancy and went to downtown Gilbert for dinner and to see The Unsinkable Molly Brown at Hale Theater!
Tanner loves bike rides. The new playground at Warner Meadows is pretty fun so we biked over there. I died over the sunset! These are the moments I want to always remember. The older kids aren't interested in simple things like bike rides to the park anymore. I'm trying to hold on to these two little ones as long as I can!
I'm so busy on Sundays now so Collin stepped up and made our favorite brunch... Puff Daddys. Only he read the recipe for 6 Tablespoons of butter and thought it was 6 sticks of butter. So each pan got three melted sticks of butter before he poured the batter in. It was so greasy you could barely get a bite on a fork! We laughed and laughed. I think he'll get teased about this for the rest of his life. I mean can you imagine?? SIX sticks of butter??! Those were some expensive Puff Daddys. I was fasting so I had a good excuse to not try it haha. A lesson learned on the importance of measurements when baking!!
These boys.
They're old and so cool. But I got a smile out of Lane!
After dinner was over, there was a bowl of celery leftover. Tanner was on it! He LOVES crunchy veggies!
It's so sad when they're sick! You can just see it on his face!
How sweet is this? I had written on a paper towel that I stuck in his school lunch and he saved it and keeps it on his nightstand. I need to write my kids more notes. They always treasure them.
Another neighborhood meeting about the industrial complex. The plans have been completely revised. I think our hard work has paid off. We are getting a much better deal now. I'm not excited about the multi-family housing but it is what it is.
Science Camp for these two! Weston was trying to hold back tears when we looked at the group assignments and he wasn't with any of his friends. I talked to his teacher and she felt bad they had messed that up and got him switched to a cabin with Mason. Woohoo! I said goodbye to him and we left for Israel the morning he got home so I was sad to not see him for so long but he had a blast.
When Weston is away the Collin will play.
