December

The first Monday night of the month we managed to attend a viewing for the husband of a lady that works at Travis's office AND go see the temple lights with my family! Our last hurrah with Christopher, Jael and sweet Lucy before they flew home. I squished on Lucy as much as I could! I don't even want to talk about her being back in Utah now. Wahhhh!!!! Life isn't fair (picture me fist pounding, throwing a tantrum on the floor.)
Weston understands my pain.

A couple of nights later, I was trying to track down Jefferson, and found him at my parent's house. One thing led to another and after spending a couple hours chatting it was time for scripture study and prayers. I stayed. It was the strangest feeling being back in the den, reading scriptures with my parents and siblings. Well, sibling. There we were, the oldest and youngest. 17 year span, brought together. Truth is, this was probably the first time the two of us had ever done family scripture study together! It called for a picture.
We had the office Christmas "party" at 2pm on Thursday at Cheesecake Factory. You don't get much more casual than that! I copied Meg and Brinn and made bread and honey butter for each of the employees to go with their bonus checks. It was interesting to spend a couple hours visiting with the girls. Gave me a good feel for their personalities and who they are. Marcie watched our kids and even picked Collin and Weston up from school. 3 cheers for Aunt Marcie!
The same day I went and picked up Anjane for a little night out. She doesn't usually feel well enough to leave the house, but that night she did! We took a chance and tried Yo-Waffle. Um, good decision!!! We had our waffles made fresh and covered them in biscoff, frozen yogurt and fruit. I need another one.right.now. We talked the night away and once again I was blown away by this girl. If you want to see faith in action, talk to her. She has patience like I can't comprehend. So grateful I live close enough that we get to see more of each other!
I was a couple days late, but our elf did return!! The kids were tickled. I had to simplify this year though. He didn't show up every day. I incorporated him into our advent tree and only when the bag for the day had a service from Elfie, did they know that he was somewhere in the house for the day.
More open gym time!

Her favorite position of all.
Our ward's Christmas party blew us away.
First, the kids got to see Santa and get a candy cane.
Olive was fun.

She was fine during Weston's turn, but when it was Collin's turn, she realized she was next. That's when the hysterical crying started. With Daddy holding her and coaxing her to just talk, she did tell him she wanted a dollie.
Next, was the live nativity. We were guided through the parking lot, stopping to hear the story told by Mary and Joseph, then a shepherd and finally to baby Jesus. There were live animals and our friends played Mary and Joseph with their baby being Jesus. It was very sweet and peaceful. Something I'm sure the kids will remember.

Next, they had crafts in the Primary room for the kids and a movie playing.
We ended in the cultural hall with dinner and a program. Pretty decorations and yummy food. We haven't been to such an elaborate ward party in years!

So the night we got home from Disneyland, we literally pulled in the driveway, threw Collin in the shower, then headed to the school for his Christmas concert. Olive was fast asleep, so Trav stayed home and I just took Collin.  He looked so handsome up there, even if he wasn't the most enthusiastic singer. ;) I'm sure missing a week of practices left him feeling a little insecure. We got Blizzards afterward and enjoyed our alone time together.
They ate these marshmallows all day long. So glad I swiped the sink with a Clorox wipe first.
Sitting in church, I knew Collin was coloring, but with Travis between us, I couldn't see what it was. Then Trav leaned it and whispered to me, "Looks like Spongebob had a rough night." I stole a look and almost doubled over. Could not contain the giggles. Such appropriate coloring for sacrament meeting.
Elfie suggested we make cards for someone who could use some Christmas cheer. Collin immediately shouted, Anjane! He was SO excited to do his card, and it was adorable. Grandmother got some too.

We met at Jenni's house one morning for her birthday brunch. Darn cold froze us out of Joe's. It was a fun morning, munching on Kneaders and watching Miles do what all 6th children are entitled to. Climbing on counter-tops and helping themselves to their mother's birthday chocolate bar.
Have I mentioned that I love Weston's preschool? Cuz I love Weston's preschool. :) On the last day before break, they dressed up and performed some Christmas songs for us parents. I want to always remember these moments of uninhibited singing and unapologetic smiles in pj's, wearing construction paper Santa hats.
We had our Grinch dinner!
Sometimes I don't know how I squeeze it all in. It really turns into a full day of prep that nearly kills me. But then we have the best time dressing up, doing crazy hair and making new friends. We invited two families from the ward over. The Porters and Grimsleys. Both have kids that are our kids' ages. They played and played and us adults talked and laughed for hours.

Camilla came all dressed up and we laughed over our similar hair styles. I love that she's game for a costume and being silly! It was a good time!
There's this breakfast joint called The Henhouse Cafe that is literally 1/4 mile from our house and I just found out iit s supposedly the bomb.com
So I had to try it.
Like my pizza?! I mean, pancake?! It was blueberry, lemon mascarpone cheese pancake and it was as amazing as it sounds. Diet starts in January alright!!
My good friend was in the middle of losing her dad. It was the most heart breaking thing and I didn't know what to do. Thinking outside the box a little, I made a bunch of hearts, grabbed a dozen of her favorite food- donuts- and me and the kids heart attacked her yard.
They loved it. They really did the whole yard while I did the door. She ended up losing him just days later. We were able to go to the viewing and funeral and I was once again so grateful that we lived in Mesa so that we were available to go to all these things. He was briefly my bishop and for many years, served in our stake presidency. An honest to goodness, GOOD man, Stephen Driggs. Jess carries on a honorable legacy.
That same night, as I was putting the kids to bed, we heard car doors slam and peeked out the window. We had carolers! OK, truth- this sort of thing usually gives me second hand embarrassment. I don't know why! But you know what, they were AMAZING! It was like having a skilled choir on my doorstep and we were all in awe! They had harmonies and high notes and crescendos and it was so beautiful!! The boys mouths were agape and their eyes lit up watching them. I was completely blown away. And on the last song, the girl in front whipped out a loaf of cinnamon bread to give us! I mean, really?! Where do people like this come from? Sound of Music heaven?! It was such a treat and made our night. We clapped and cheered when they were done and my heart was so full.
After they left, Collin asked me when were WE going to go caroling to people's houses? Haha, ummmm, sorry. WE would not sound like that. I truly felt bad letting the poor boy down.
Trav missed our whole night because he was at his fancy VIP showing of the new Star Wars movie! I sadly was not interested in seeing it, so he took Reddin. A local orthodontist office rented out a theater to show it at 7pm, a few hours before the general public could see it at midnight. Trav got invited. Ooo la la! He said it was good. I was glad he could watch it with someone who could appreciate it with him. ;)
Speaking of dentistry... his new business name and logo is on the door! Step one of 175! ;)
Collin's class Christmas party was devoid of treats. Not one sign up for even a candy cane! What gives? So I offered to bring cookies. I was in the mood for a Swig.
On a whim, I grabbed these antlers at Target.. for the kids...
I was excited to get all festive, knowing he was too young to be embarrassed. These are numbered ya know.
One Saturday night we invited the Goodmans over for pizza and some gingerbread house making! Someone asked me if I was going to ACTUALLY bake gingerbread. *Scoff* I wish I was that amazing. It was the usual graham crackers, although I'm really going to try and remember to make rice crispy treat walls next year.

I tell the girls to smile and Olive does this...
Striking a pose???

Rusty's house was SOLID.
Solid candy.
Bravo, Rusty!
Someone became aware of Collin's "workspace". His creative genius requires mess I guess.

He tried his darnedest to keep his walls from falling down and rebuilt several times, until the last time...
It was just too much work.
Stuffing his face sounded way more fun.

I knew there was no way I was going to get Casey to cooperate for a picture of his hogan/airplane. So I just took one. You'd think he WAS cooperating!
My parents hosted the Udall family Christmas party at their house.
This is how Olive entertained herself.

Every family was in charge of a musical number. We sang, then my mom played the violin. It was beautiful. A couple of weeks later Collin said he wanted to tell me something. Then he ducked his head and fidgeted with his hands and said, "When Grandma played her violin the Holy Ghost comforted me." Then he started to get emotional and continued, "I wanted to cry, but I didn't, because I didn't want anyone to see me." Then he made me promise not to tell anyone. Since I'm such a good mom, I'm going to override just a tad and deem it a document-able moment just for the family blog.
The married grandchildren always have a white elephant gift exchange. I had just gotten the idea from my friend, Rachel, that bringing a lobster would by hysterical. Travis was skeptical but I was already convinced. Trennon ended up picking it and I WISH I had been videotaping. Leah about leaped out of her seat!! Soon, everyone was up, peering inside and laughing. But apparently no one wanted to steal it. We had already had our turn, but when someone stole it, we promptly motioned for the lobster. I mean come on, people! It's LOBSTER! Yum!
After the game was over, all the kids wanted a look. We named him Lester.
Poor Lester had started bubbling at the mouth and a quick google search told me he needed water.
I decided a pot of boiling water would be perfect. ;)
My mom was mortified. She videotapes everything, but she left the room to avoid the "scream" it might make when it hit the water. Well, it didn't scream. It welcomed the hot tub.
The funny part was, this became the event of the night! Uncle Dwight has many years experience, hunting fresh seafood in Mexico and he became our guide. Showing exactly where to slice, crack and clean. (He also showed us that Lester was actually a Leslie.)
I melted up some butter and pretty soon we had Leslie hors d'oeuvres for everyone to sample!
Even Austin dug in.
Thank you Leslie for a fine time! Between that and the "Squatty Potty", it was a family party to remember!
The first three days of Christmas break, I enrolled Collin in a fun, art camp at the school with his friend. It was the best $70 I spent all month.
I only felt a little bad that he missed out on an impromptu morning at the park with Shelley and Leah.
We went to Discovery Park, which has a few big ponds with ducks. Us moms were visiting when Rusty rushed up with very urgent news! Weston had slipped and gotten his leg wet in the pond!!!!! I glance up and see Weston off in the distance, pushing his bike toward us. The closer he gets I can see that he's sobbing. And the closer he gets I can see that he is actually wet from the chest down. Yes, the child had completely fallen into the sick, duck pond!!! Bahhhhhh. I was such a sympathetic mom and let him finish the trek to me before handling it. I'm only thinking of the germs crawling all over his stinky body. Thankfully, we live close so we rushed home for a quick shower and change of clothes. And I thought I had to be careful about Olive falling in!!
We got to have Miss Scarlet for an afternoon!! Her parents went to go see the new Star Wars movie. Weston was THRILLED. She was happy as could be for the first 15-20 minutes, so I left her in her car seat. He wouldn't leave her side. I bustled around the kitchen, keeping them in the corner of my eye. He was talking to her, dancing for her, handing her toys and all around entertaining her. Even after I got her out, he wouldn't leave her alone. Luckily, she seemed to be enjoying it. Then, it was with THE most pitiful voice that he said it. I knew it was coming, but I didn't know how much it would pain my heart. "Moooom. When are you going to have another baby??" His eyes were downcast, filling with tears. I swear, if I could have whipped a baby out of my uterus at the very second I would have. I could not have felt more guilty. How do you explain grown up decisions like that to a 4 year old? And even if I was pregnant, the poor child wouldn't be getting another sibling for 9 months. Life just isn't fair, Weston.
We had lunch with Trav one day and tried out the Broken Yolk.
Um, YUMMM!!! I got eggs benedict... one "South of the Border" and one "Country". I died and went to hollandaise heaven.
Our advent tree keeps me hoppin'!
This day was painting ornaments. Collin loves painting more than anyone.

A lady in my ward mentioned a fun tradition they do in their family. Every year, their kids get to pick out a new ornament for the tree. The mom writes their name and the year on it and when they grow up and leave the house, they get to take all their ornaments with them. So fun! It was Christmas Eve and I was running around crazy and out of time when Trav offered to do this for me. Can you say SAINT?! He took all three kids to Hobby Lobby... what a nightmare. When they got back, I kid you not, Olive's face was LIT UP with excitement to show me her ornament. Perfect!! This is exactly what I hoped it would be like. I wanted them to pick out what brought them joy. ;) (Catch the Marie Kondo reference?) Well, Olive then holds up the cutest ballerina ... whose missing an arm. Trav quickly interjects that everything was really picked over and when she saw it there was no talking her out of it. I had to laugh. Oh well! It brought her joy. It was unique. What more could I ask for?
The boys both picked out Ninja Turtles. Donatello and Rafael, respectively. Very fitting.

I had spent a good portion of the day making my favorite... Cardamom bread. We hopped in the car and delivered a few loaves before heading to Grandma and Grandpa Dogs house for the Christmas Eve party.

We had delicious "Flora Specials" (chimichangas), the usual family performances (we sang Picture a Christmas) and the acted out the nativity. Olive was an angel. Her picture poses are cracking me up lately.
Weston was King Herod which led to a lively debate between the boys the week leading up to it on whether or not Weston was a "good guy" or a "bad guy". Oi!!!
Collin was the angel Gabriel and very excited to be so.
He took his part very seriously.

I made blueberry bread pudding for dessert and then we took the leftovers to my parents for a quick hello before going to bed. David and Abbey were over watching National Lampoons... Abbey's first time seeing it!!!
My mom was over the moon about the kids' new pajama pants that Grandma Dog had sewn them. (My mother-in-law really is amazing.)  I love that she reacts that way. And I love that she is OK not being the "traditional" Grandma because instead I get to capture fun stuff like this when she gets into a "moment" with the kids about how exciting it is that it's Christmas Eve!! I think our kids get the best of both worlds. :)
I was so proud of us for getting all the presents wrapped the night before. There was just odds and ends stuff and a little cleaning to do, but we were heading to bed by midnight!! NOT.
Literally, right before getting into bed, we went into the kids bedrooms to check on them (like we always do) and as we approached Weston we were shocked. There was blood ALL over his face and his head was literally laying in a pool of blood! I gasped! What on earth?! It was way too much to just wipe off and after we got him up and in the bathroom, I realized it was dried on pretty hard too. So we had to undress him and put him in the tub. It took forever to clean him up and he cried, screamed and resisted the entire time. Trav had blood on him, the tub was full of blood and we still couldn't get the culprit- his nose- to stop bleeding. After at least 1/2 hr. I was starting to panic. Why wouldn't it stop bleeding?? Finally, we stuck a tampon up there and it seemed to stop. But by now I was worried about how much blood he had lost and was afraid it would start again in the night without us knowing. I laid with him in his bed for a while and dozed until Trav came and got me. Thankfully, it didn't bleed again and the rest of the night was uneventful.
We got a bit of a late start Christmas morning since our hemophiliac slept in past 8am. His siblings waited very patiently.
Collin got an Easy Bake Oven from Santa.
Weston got a gumball machine and a motorcycle.
Olive got a doll with a brush and blow dryer.
Their stocking gift is always a book. "The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the Wash", "Where the Wild Things Are" and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" respectively.

The boys also got Ninja Turtle lairs, footsie jammies and remote control cars. Olive got a Barbie, magna doodle and shape sorter. Trav got a new set of golf clubs and pillow. I got a video camera and necklace.

Trav also surprised me with this thoughtful, homemade board. All dreamed up in his own noggin! No Pinterest involved. I was impressed with how sneaky they all were and that he put paint on their lips! Haha! Very sweet indeed.

We spent the rest of the morning at my parent's house. The cousins exchanged gifts and hugs in the warmth of the roaring fire. ;)

I gave to Abby. She had jokingly requested this T-Rex shirt in a group text at the beginning of the month. Little did she know I would actually get her one! Hehe. (Don't worry, I also got her a real gift.)

After all the gifts were exchanged, we put on our last gift to our parents.... a video of our trip to Disneyland! David compiled all the pictures and video we took to a few songs and it was perfect!

Bring on the sausage, biscuits and gravy!!!

I had gotten my mom several shirts, knowing she wouldn't end up keeping all of them. You just need options! So after the hoop-la was over we demanded a fashion show! She came out in each one to get our opinions, but this one was the funniest. She matched the lamp! I think she really lit up in this one. Hehe.
The girlies got Elsa/Anna dolls from Grandma. Consolation prize for getting left behind at Disneyland. ;)
We switched over to the Evans' house later that afternoon. Paula always thinks up a thoughtful gift for the grandkids and this year it was these adorable, crocheted turtles! Collin promptly named his Titty the Turtle. Uhhhhh, wow. We were super mature about it and fell apart in giggles. After a few rounds of singing an accompanying song about Titty, we had to break the bad news to him. Love those conversations.
I think my favorite thing about Christmas at the Evans is eating all of Paula's yummy treats she puts out. Caramel corn, chocolate caramels, Butterfinger bells, candy cane Kisses melted to pretzels and rolos smashed in pretzels. Just roll me home. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by family each Christmas and just get to relax and enjoy the hubbub, smiles and sugar.

The rest of the month flew by. Collin jumped right into his baking career using the Easy Bake!
We met up with some of my siblings for sushi one night at Sekai.

The remote control cars provided many hours of entertainment.

I picked up the Goodman cousins one morning for a few hours at the park while Shelley prepped for their dunes trip. It was COLD! I had on two jackets and kept my hands in my pockets to avoid frostbite. ;) When the sun finally came out I hesitatingly shed one jacket. We brought donuts for a snack and had a merry ol' time!

The Lindblom family Christmas party was uncharacteristically scheduled for the Tuesday after Christmas to accommodate an Aunt who would be in town then. It was at my parents house and we had the usual pizza and salads. I got to eat next to Grandmother, who was sneaking this baby, bites of her orange. ;)
Aunt Marcia got authoritative this year and assigned multiple family performances to each sibling. So we obliged my mom and sang a Christmas song. It was painful. There is literally zero musical ability pracin our family. But for our next ditty, we decided dancing is what we really do best. We practiced on Christmas and were pretty excited about our ghetto skills. Unfortunately, I think everyone got a little stage fright once it was time to stare our stoic cousins in the eye. Everyone except me, haha.

Austin was on duty that night and Jill's little boy thought he was the coolest person alive. So after the program, he went out to the squad car to let him see inside and flip the lights on. It actually drew EVERYONE outside. It is fun to have the police at your family party!

Our friends, the Hatches, from Gallup were in town visiting their family. Lucky for us, their family lives a mile from our house!! We met them at Jump Street for a couple hours of bouncing. It was so fun to see Weston and Everett back together again. Best buds. We had him over the rest of the day to play.

The next day was New Year's Eve. My entire family had a trip to the dunes planned, but we weren't going to go. Just seemed too expensive to rent an RV and quads or a RZR for something we didn't super love to do anyway. But then Shelley suggested we just come up for a day, ring in the New Year, spend the night at a hotel in Yuma, then go home on Friday. Well, it had never occurred to me to do it that way! So we did exactly that!
We pulled in around 2pm on Thursday about the same time the ice cream man drove up! Should have known Grandpa would insist on treating.

Not long after, we went on our first "outing". It's been YEARS since I've been to the dunes. My dad had rented a RZR that Trav was driving. The boys were in the backseat and Shelley was watching Olive. I had butterflies. We started off with a group, I think Casey was in the lead. As we cruised over the sand, my butterflies turned to hummingbirds. As we climbed the first set of dunes it was full blown ravenous, meat eating dinosaurs in there! I was really, truly scared. For my life. It just felt so unsafe!! I'm totally fine with adrenaline rushes if I feel like I'm SAFE. This. This felt like consistent hydroplaning. Plus, NOTHING on Travis, but because we don't do "the dunes" thing, we aren't experienced the way the other guys are. I was certain we were going to roll. I squinched my eyes shut and didn't open them again. My knuckles were white on the handlebar in front of me. I couldn't even remember the last time I had felt this literal FEAR grip my heart. I started singing primary songs in my head. Seriously. A Long Time Ago in a Beautiful Place became my mantra. It really did help. Even though I couldn't help but imagine ANY other situation in my entire life and wish I could switch places with it. When it was finally over, I felt weak from paranoia. Never doing THAT again, I promised myself.
I think this is what they call Competition Hill. It's crazy how the pictures make it look like a gentle slope. No way. It is so stinkin' steep!! I would have died if Travis tried to take me up it!! Watching these grown men race around on their quads and rails just made me think of little boys crashing their Tonka trucks in a sand box. Only 20 years older and $$$$$ more expensive.
We were at Gordon's Well. I had to learn the lingo... there is also Glamis, Ogliby, and Buttercup. At night on the weekends, everyone goes to the "drags". I thought there would be actual racing involved, but this is essentially the dunes fashion show runway. ;) We hopped in my dad's truck to head over with the babies. The sand was really soft this year and we got stuck a few times but finally reached our destination!

Back at camp we split up into RV's (Shelley and Casey let us crash theirs) to fix up dinner. Then it was campfire party time! We mostly visited, but also got into a marshmallow war with friends at another campground. They lit some old Christmas trees on fire and we watched as flames licked precariously close to their RV's. Yikes. The guys went out on a chilly, night run and lit fireworks off in the distance. Closer to midnight, the strawberry daiquiri Martinelli's got busted out along with the dance moves. David let loose with Turn Down For What. My new fav... Andy Grammer's, Good to be Alive, got me groovin'! And Shelley's 2016 glasses turned us into glittery eyed selfie addicts. ;) We rang in both California's, then Arizonas new year! The kids had gradually dropped off to sleep throughout the night, minus Collin. So we got them all in the car and drove 20 minutes back to Yuma to get our nice clean, Hilton beds all sandy. ;)

After sorta sleeping in and slamming a hug continental breakfast, we were back at the dunes! The guys went out of a couple of long runs while us ladies played games in the RV. After lunch, a big "family run" was planned. I was going to stay back with Olive, but my mom didn't want to go, so she stayed with her instead, and suddenly I found myself strapped into Casey's RZR, wondering how I get myself into such predicaments. Abbey was next to me, on her maiden run at the dunes! Everyone except my mom, Shelley and Macie went. We were a long trail of 3 RZR's, 3 quads and a dirt bike. Somehow, I was much more calm on this ride and even enjoyed myself! But after a while we realized we had lost the back half of our group. About 10 minutes later we found them. Circled around my dad, laying flat in the sand. My stomach lurched and I was frantically trying to get my seatbelt and helmet off to run over. He had hit a witches eye and bailed off his quad, landing hard on his right shoulder. His vision was blurry and he had blacked out. David gave him a blessing. It was awful to see him there. They man who had facilitated this whole trip. Was always making sure everyone was taken care of and having a good time. It was obvious he was in a lot of pain, even though he was acting brave. The guys gingerly helped him up and into Casey's RZR for the ride back. We weren't looking forward to my mom's reaction. I really do feel her pain at having to endure all her sons and husband's injuries over their love of this sport. Seeing the realization cross her face was similar to that sick feeling in your stomach when bad news hits someone you love. But all in all, she took it well. Since we were planning on leaving soon anyway, we got our suburban loaded up with all our stuff and Grandpa and headed back to Mesa as quickly as possible. Travis made good time and dropped me off at my parent's house with my Dad. I was going to take him to the ER, even though he vehemently argued that we should take two cars so I could leave after getting him checked in. Oi! As if I was about to let him drive OR just leave him in the ER. Parents. *head shake* ;)
We stopped at 5 Guys for some burgers before what we thought would be a long night in the hospital. Boy were we wrong! Praise the heavens, we were in and out of that empty ER in less than 2 hours! Everyone was so kind and accommodating. The X-rays came back showing a bad break in two places. It would be pain meds and rest until seeing an orthopedic surgeon on Monday.

With everyone else still at the dunes and pleading from my mom and sisters that I don't leave him alone that night, I had to pull rank once again and insist I stay. ;) He protested but I think recognized it was a losing battle. I went back to Walgreens to get his prescription, helped him into his shirt and sling and got comfortable in the spare bedroom. I set my alarm for 3am to help him take more medication and again for 7am to do the same, but by then he said he wanted to wait. Tough guy was going to do this with as little help from codeine as possible. ;) He didn't need me to hang around the next day, but I did, all the same. I was pretty sure he wouldn't try to drive, but I figured if I was always available for anything he needed, the temptation to "do" or drive would be thwarted. I got us Nekter for breakfast, did some grocery shopping and did another run for Cafe Rio at lunch. I know I was a big nuisance and he would have rather been alone, but I liked hanging out with him. One on one time just doesn't happen. I finally left around 4pm to go home and shower and do a little more grocery shopping and came back to help unload the RV when Jefferson pulled in. Everyone else came a couple hours later. When he saw the surgeon on Monday, he was told he was a candidate for surgery, but recommended waiting a week to see if it might start healing without it. A week later, the surgeon said he'd never seen bones heal the way they were doing for my dad. He was amazed. It was a small miracle! I think we can chalk that up to the fact that he's kind of a decent guy. And maybe his ward and company need him. :) If Bishop/President Lindblom can manage to take it easy the next few weeks, he'll be making up for lost time, in no time.
Such a cute picture to end the year on!! This was the picture they took of Olive for nursery when we moved in. She got to take it home on the last Sunday and they'll take another one for next year. I love that she's feeding a baby. She carries dolls around with her everywhere and likes to say to me, "I a good mommy."
