Flagstaff

Travis wasn't able to take off a full week for Flagstaff with the Evans, so we went up late, Wednesday night. Lucky Olive got to go up with Olivia the entire week though! I love their special bond.

Friday morning, a group decided to wake up very early and hike Humphreys. I wanted to go but circumstances weren't ideal for me so I stayed back with the kids. Collin went with Travis and I had full faith in him to make it to the top. It's the highest peak in Arizona. They climbed 3,000 feet in elevation to 12,633ft! They hiked for EIGHT hours and Collin didn't complain once. Travis said he loved it. He's always been our little mountain goat. I was so proud of him!! And bonus... there was some snow at the top as a reward!

One morning, after LOTS of driving around, and going through Plans A, B and C, we got to Plan D and found a lake to play in. There were controlled fires going on, smoking out the usual lake we like to go to. Travis brought our inflatable canoes and there was one other canoe everyone took turns in. Hot dogs were grilled and fun was had by all.

The morning they hiked Humphreys, I braided all the Evans' girls hair and took a group to Bearizona! It seemed better this year than the last time we went. More animals came around.

Kayda was WONDERFUL. Such a little helper. Tanner was not easy, but she mothered him so well and he actually let her most of the time. I would like to hire a Kayda to be my constant mommy helper!

Olive was a bit of a turkey that day, so this picture is fitting. Between her and Tanner, I had used up all my deep breaths and "happy place" thoughts by noon!

We discovered this place called the Local Juicery last year, so we went back again for their killer acai bowls! And even in a sitting picture, I somehow tower above the Evans girls. It's fine.
Grandma hosted some arts and crafts one day in her cabin.

As usual, lots of games played, time spent at the pool and ice cream consumed.
We love our Evans cousins!
