This girl will be 6 months old this week and I really can't believe it. It's cliche, but it's true. Time just goes by so fast. I think my pregnancies go on double slow motion, so once they're born, it's hard to believe how fast they grow. And it's difficult to swallow that I'll never get her at this age again. I snarf on her on a regular basis. It's a wonder there's anything left of her! It could not be overstated, I LOVE having a girl! 

So her latest fetish is hair chewing. She knowingly and deliberately grabs for my hair and shoves it in her mouth. Then grabs again and shoves again. Oddest thing. When she's upset, she grabs for it with her left hand, then sticks that thumb in her mouth and seems to sigh in contentment. 

If I let her go for it, my hair looks like this in 5 minutes. And it's a B to unpick!

I love this one. Ha!

A few weeks ago, I finally got my new camera started and Megan showed me the beginning ropes. I'm very intimidated by it. 

These bath pictures are my first attempts with it! She's about 5 months here. She loves her baths in the sink!

How 'bout that fuzzy hair!

Olive stats at 5 1/2 months:

Height: 24 3/4 in.

Weight: 12 lbs 1oz

Head Circ. 16 7/16 in.

As of two weeks ago, she's in her own room! And as of a week ago she's in a crib! That, after being in my closet for about 3-4 weeks. I have to admit, it was a hard adjustment for me, but I'm so glad now. I love her little nursery. She went from the wooden cradle for 2 months, to the inclined sleeper for maybe 2-3 months. Then the pack 'n play in the closet for a month and finally a crib. It's been a progression for sure.

She is a good nurser, but likes bottles too. She usually has about 2 bottles a day.

She has completely slept through the night, twice now. But her usual is to wake up once around 5 to nurse, then go back to sleep until about 7am.

She loves Collin. He get the best giggles and happy shrieks out of her, being his crazy, goofy self.

Unfortunately, she's not the fondest of Weston. I'm afraid he's burned bridges with her after the many times of laying on top of her or hurting her legs with his squeezes and loves. 

She has no neck. Just recently I noticed I don't have to clean out her neck goo as much. But it used to stink. We just called it stink neck. And I would bathe her and clean it out good every day! Gross. Glad we're growing out of that!

She has finally gotten into somewhat of a schedule with a morning nap around 9:30 and an afternoon nap around 1 or 2. The length always varies, but they're around 1 1/2 to 2 hour naps. 

She loves her thumb. The second I put her into her crib, it's in her mouth to soothe her to sleep.

Her fussy time is around 6pm when she would probably like to sleep, but needs to stay up so she can go to bed at 7:30 or 8! 

She is actively rolling over now and does it every time we lay her down. She loves toys and gnawing on EVERYTHING! She doesn't sit up on her own yet though.

She's VERY observant and has her eye on everything. She is wary of strangers and likes to be with her momma best. 

Megan took her 6 month pictures last week. I cannot even tell you how in love I am with these!! Mmmmm! I want to eat her!!

 

This is my FAVORITE. 

The thumb suck with pointer finger curled over her nose and clutching a blankie. SO her. 

 

 

This is another favorite. So soft and sweet. Seriously, words don't do my love for this babe justice!
