New Year's Eve

You know we love New Year's Eve around here!

My parents were in Israel so that was different. But Christopher was here with his kids and we were determined to party! Jefferson came with his kids and even though Austin had to work, he stopped by for a little bit. The Goodmans were all at the dunes. David and Abbey left their kids with a sitter and came. Weston stayed home with friends but our other 3 kids were with us! In fact, Collin and Paige hung out with us all night! We felt highly complimented that the teenagers would hang with us!

I scoured through everyone's Facebook posts and made a slideshow of a variety of them over the past 15 years and had everyone guess who said what! It was funny haha. I learned that Travis almost never posts. Austin and Christopher post a lot. Jefferson had never posted even once (but then I learned he used to have another account he deleted). And Marcie took down her Facebook so I couldn't look at any of hers.

Some examples:

Chicken fries is like my family- David

I just got woken up to my 19 year old brother freaking out because my dad is making him throw away his life size justin beiber.- Abbey

______  just energetically danced into swim lessons yelling "Whoa! whoa! Gangnam style!!!" My awesome parenting amazes even me.- Me

Every week, Elder Lindblom's letter, makes my day.

Today he wrote that Sept. 15 was Independence Day for Honduras and everyone was drunk. He said it was weird talking to people about the gospel and inviting them to church, knowing they were totally wasted. But... and I quote: "they were totally out of sober people." What's a missionary to do?! Love it. He always makes me smile.- Me again

While on my flight my nap was interrupted by the person right behind me hitting me in the arm, not too big of a deal until I see the flight attendant run back to him. Turns out he was having a seizure. Pretty crazy stuff. -Travis

"Billy likes to drink soda. Miss Lippy's car...is green!"- Christopher

I am so angry with my Cox Internet!- Austin

We had all sorts of amazing food! Christopher made homemade bread and a charcuterie board with a salami rose! Ooo la la!

Here is Paige hearing Christopher tell the story about Collin as a little kid trying to open the bedroom door that Jael is in. She told him he couldn't come in so he knocked again and then tried to say in a pretend, low voice, "Let me in, it's Christopher!" Hahaha.

We played Secret Hitler and made a funny Instagram Reel video to the viral Barbie song, "Come on Barbie, lets go Barbie, ah, ah, ah, yeahhh!" Paige was such a good sport and did it with us too!!! It was so fun! Then we went out to the driveway and blasted the tunes (Yay for David knowing how to set up the speakers!) and did some little fireworks on the street while the Cummards let off enormous ones down the street. Then we danced and danced and danced at midnight and even got another group of teenagers to come dance with us too! So fun! It had started raining but that didn't stop us! We just looked like drowned rats when we were done! Of course, we ended with waffles and buttermilk syrup! Oh, and one more Instagram reel! Another successful New Years!! I have the most fun family!!
