July + First day of school

Poor Orson got appendicitis. Before they knew that's what it was, Collin was there while Liam and his friend gave him a blessing.

Jane learning to walk!! Her cousins were excited for her!
Tanner is so lucky to have these friends down the street! And even luckier Tasha treated them to In'n'Out!

Christopher digging up old family pictures. I don't have scrapbooks from my childhood so I guess I'll just put them here!

The Monahan's oldest son, Clayton, came home from his mission to Peru, so I painted a big banner to put up along our neighborhood fence. I was so thrilled when it actually turned out good!

How sweet are these notes left on Travis's bishop's door?!

Olive decided to chop it all off! Aunt Shelley did an amazing job! I really love the bob look on her!!

Mutual games...

We missed the junior high "open house" where you can walk around and find your classes before the first day of school, but they opened it up again the day before for any students who missed it. Poor shorty couldn't see through the window so she held herself up by the door handle!

Then we did some back to school shopping!

Tanner's teacher, Mrs. Sheila Tenney, let us come meet her the day before school started since we missed Meet the Teacher day. 3rd grade is in the portables. Not so great, but her classroom was so cute and she seems like the nicest teacher!! So grateful Tanner got her. Turns out, she went to Mesa High and is best friends with Maelynn Mackey!
When we pulled in late on Sunday night from Collin's dive nationals, my birthday was the next day and Camilla had decorated my whole yard. She is the SWEETEST.

My birthday was spent at walking the junior high campus with Olive and taking Tanner to meet his teacher and unpacking and doing laundry and basically "momming" all day. Sweet Collin felt bad as he was leaving for practice and said we should go out to dinner that night. I said maybe that could work. But Travis had to work late and Olive had dance and I was so hungry from not eating all day and having no groceries. So we swung by Taco Bell to get Olive some dinner before dance and I got myself a Mexican pizza, thinking it could just hold me off until we got "real dinner". But ya know, it filled me up and there really wasn't time to go do anything else, so that was that.
My parents stopped by to wish me a happy birthday and Lisa Thompson showed up with this amazing flower cupcake bouquet that was SO CUTE. And Travis stopped at Handel's and got us some French Silk Pie ice cream for dessert. So that was nice. Nothing real special about the day but that's fine. I knew I was going to get to see Rachel in Vegas in a few days so I was calling that my birthday celebration!

This is what was on the cover on the card Camilla gave me. We were together when All My Life by KC and JoJo started playing and I started singing and it was a whole thing. So we dubbed ourselves the new KC and JoJo. I forget who is who though.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!
Ohhh this boy is so cute!
Mickey mouse pancakes in keeping with tradition.
He was sad to not be riding the bus with Olive. She was really sweet to come downstairs and give him a hug goodbye and say some encouraging words. 3rd grade for Tan Man! He leaves for the bus at 7:33am.

Then Olive leaves for her bus at 8:10am. She rides with Mae and Ruby Standage.
7th grade for Miss Olive at Greenfield Jr. High! She was feeling so fancy with her pretty nails.

Someone doesn't like to wear shirts around the house.

Lane gave his farewell talk! I was so sad that I was on a plane coming home and missed it. I had already booked this trip before I knew his departure date. At least I made it for the luncheon/celebration.

Collin and Weston didn't start school for another week after Olive and Tanner. I took them and Rusty to Top Golf for a final, summer send off.

Eagle night at ALA finding their classes.
Weston "should have" gone to Highland, but there was some friend trouble and he wanted to try ALA.

Collin's favorite teacher, Mrs. Herring for Anatomy.
It's Sawyer's 2nd year teaching!
Collin's schedule
Weston's schedule

Collin is a junior this year!!

Weston is a freshman!

How sweet is it that they can drive themselves?!!! Woohoo!! This mama has made it! No battling the ALA traffic. Just praying for no accidents!

Okayyy how amazing is Tanner's teacher?!!
