The aftermath of Easter. It's brutal.
Tanner and I happened to be on a walk as Weston was getting off the bus!
My first day substitute teaching! I taught Olive's 5th grade class. Her teacher is kind of a mess. I had to really be on my A game for classroom management. The kids were pretty good and it was fun teaching some math. I had brought a book but there was zero downtime. In elementary you earn that meager paycheck.
Travis and I finally tried out the much hyped, Fire & Brimstone pizza. It was alright.
Look at these beautiful flowers Kim Johnson brought me! She grew them herself!!! What in the witchcraft.
Out in Scottsdale for a dive competition.
Conference weekend! Loving Tanner's portray of the speakers.
Nora turned 2! Stinkin cutest birthday party.
I asked my mom if I could take pictures of her temple apron for guidance so I can get going on mine again. A girl can wish!
Megan Harris was in town so the girls got together!
I took Payton's senior pictures. So fun that she's going to BYU!
The YM went to Thatcher to run a sprint triathlon. They spend the night on the high school football field.
Weston attempting to eat a boat load of pancakes to win a bet.
Olive had a dance competition out in Scottsdale. It's really fun to see her perform.
It was Payton's prom but I was stuck at the comp all day so she came to me to get her hair done!
Nate Bargatze came to Phoenix!! He was HILARIOUS. Truly the funniest comedian ever. They were filming a Netflix series so cameras were whizzing around us. I laughed so hard when Marcie came scooting in with her pregnant belly, holding what looked to be a beer but was really a can of water haha.
I went to a stake Relief Society conference and one of the teachers had these cute, crocheted plants and animals. I die. One day, I'll have time for hobbies like this.
Jenee was on ALA's campus one day and spotted Collin so they took a picture! I love it!! After I sent that thank you email, Jenee reached out to me and asked if I wanted to go to lunch. I was beyond flattered! We talked for hours over salads and I feel like I have a new, very cool and influential friend.
This just really deserves to be saved somewhere because Hillary is hilarious. Not many people would have the guts to troll their uncle.
It's so nice when they do activity days on a Wednesday and Olive can go!
I joined Tanner for his class field trip to the AZ Science Center.
All Tanner wants to do is play basketball with me after school.
I volunteered at Greendfield, helping with the water games the classes got as a prize for fundraising. Heaven help teachers. That was a lot of crazy.
The ward planned a campout and the weather showed snow but they didn't cancel it. Literally 3 families showed up. Travis, the Libby's and Monahans. And the Libby's left before anyone else was up in the morning. The Elder's Quorum president drove up to bring breakfast and then left. Womp womp. Poor Travis. It was a lot of work to pack all that up then have to clean it and air it out to dry when they got home. But he still had a positive attitude.
I went to a sound bath that a friend advertised in Mesa and guess who else showed up?! My mom hahahahaha. It was a full moon meditation type thing and very relaxing!
I tried to give away my tickets to the MCO concert because I was so tired and overdrawn but we went anyway and I'm so glad we did. It was a patriotic themed concert and so so incredible.
Another dance comp!
I've been doing Olive and Lila's hair in crown braids for their duet. They have won every award and done so well!
This comp went really late Friday night and started early Saturday morning so we got a room at the hotel it was at. We shared with Millie and Emerson and Millie has a kind heart and opened it up to a bunch of the girl's friends. Plus, she brought her toddler granddaughter who was up super early in the morning crying. I should have splurged for our own freaking room. This resort had a fun pool so the girls got to play a little on their break.
A big, extended Udall reunion was organized and Leah and I were the only 3rd generation kids who came to the more formal part of the night. I loved it. It was so fun seeing all the pictures and hearing the cousins talk about their families and memories. Some came from out of state for this. They had many activities planned over the course of several days, but this was the only one I attended. There was a dinner afterward.
Easter party at Wayne and Paulas. Egg bash and egg hunt.
I started seeing a therapist to try and put my dating/wedding garbage behind me once and for all. I tried EMDR and ended up having a long conversation with my dad that was 18 years overdue. Lots of big stuff that was super, emotionally draining. So there you go. Three sentences to summarize endless hours of crying and distress.
Since Tanner's birthday is in the summer, I took him for his school birthday lunch early. He chose In'n'Out. That kid can pound a double double with animal fries.
Weston has been doing track at Greenfield and landed on the discus as his event. I wouldn't have minded if he did some running events but discus it was. He had practices everyday after school and improved quite a bit over the season.
