Round 2!
Craig was called to serve in Las Vegas until he's able to return to Honduras. Since he had been released, he needed to be set apart again.
Lindblom 2020 camping trip was a success! Grandma had some classes she didn't want to miss, so just Grandpa came, but it all worked out well! We tried out a new spot, right next to the Hogle's ranch. I drove up Thursday morning and Travis came right after work. The Goodman's didn't come until Friday afternoon. We ate lots of yummy food and the kids got sufficiently dirty. It was fun to finally see the Hogle's ranch and visit with them a little bit. Grandpa brought his RZR so the kids enjoyed a few rides. I don't think Tanner and Landon left the RZR alone the whole time we were there. It became their personal jungle gym. Marcie saved the trip by bringing their gas fire pit (no open flames allowed) and I saved it by remembering games!
Sweet Weston loves Madeline so much. Whoever is the baby will get Weston's love!
It was Tanner's birthday on Saturday so I planned a few games, brought a pinata and homemade cupcakes! Cause, you know, he cares. ;)
So spoiled by cousins!
I took all these little kids out on a RZR ride and thought I was lost for a minute. Oy vey! I didn't let myself panic, but can you imagine?! Being lost with 6 little kids?! Haha!
Back at home, Tanner got to open his presents from us! A weedwacker! His lawn mowing set is complete!
I felt like I had to document something of the tragedy our friends went through. We were shocked to learn that the Shaws were getting a divorce. Then a couple months after, Jeff was going through a very depressed time and ended up in a chase from the cops. Rolled his truck and was in serious condition after being shot by the police. It was so, so bizarre to hear about everything. After many surgeries and weeks in the hospital, he was stable, but then caught covid. After being moved to the covid floor, he coded and died in the middle of the night. Everyone in our old ward is reeling from the news. I brought them dinner and donated online, but I just can't wrap my mind around any of it. I watched his funeral over zoom and cried and cried. Everyone thought this family was ideal. Everyone loved Jeff and Lauren. No one knew they were struggling. Reminds me of the saying, Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
Aunt Aubrey outdoes herself!
Love these little signs that children live here!
Abbey started a new children's swimming business called Roco, so I bought one of her first suits for Tanner. His pose KILLS me! Collin told him what to do. I know leopard is a little unconventional for a boy, but I kind of love it on him.
Swim date with the high school friends. I guess Jenni went hardcore on the quarantine stuff and didn't leave her house for two months. No take-out. Nothing. I was flabbergasted. And then, it turned out, most of her family caught in in July. The irony. That's the reality though.... people are going to catch this no matter what. We have to live our lives.
Tanner does this cute thing where when he points, he turns his head slightly, closing one eye and scrunching up his face. He can't point his finger without doing it. I loooove it.
Leah is running for Queen Creek Town Council. I got to watch her answer questions during a political meeting. Go Leah!
Late night swim with the Martineaus.
We love this guy, yes we do! Special occasions call for crepes! The kids made him an assortment of gifts. I wish I had taken a picture.
Grilling at the Goodmans! Really, really grateful for my own father and the father of my children. How did I get so lucky on both ends? Quality men in this picture!
I forgot to take a picture of the big boy in his big boy bed! We got this back in March, not long after he potty trained. Growing up so fast. Except for that darn pacifier. The only difference now, is that he wants one of us to lay next to him while he falls asleep. I don't mind one bit.
Some of the trampoline parks have opened up again, so we met the Laws at Uptown Jungle then went to Bahama Bucks to use some coupons Camille had given us before they expired. Lucky us, she was there when we went! She said Craig is doing well! So weird how they're able to call now!
I've been awful and not seen Josie in months. I threw out the invitation to come with us one day to my mom's pool and she took it! She came late, but she came! It was good to see her for a bit and try to catch up. My kids still pray for Josie and Brighton. We've told them that they've divorced, but old habits die hard. Breaks my heart a little, every time.
