Tea for 2 + 2

Last week we invited Lilly and Rubi over for a tea party! It was all Collin could talk about the night before. We told the girls they could dress up if they wanted, and then Collin donned his knight costume from preschool and Weston put on a cape like a prince. :) We started by coloring and decorating crowns to wear. Princes and princesses must be properly adorned, after all!
(I found these wooden swords at a craft fair in December. It was a risky purchase. I could see stitches in my future, but I knew the boys would love them. I was right.)
((Megan took these cute pictures. Obviously. I don't have to tell you that, do I?!))

I love these 3 pictures. Collin and Lilly are two peas in a pod, personality wise. Full of energy and giggles and silly stories.

I love Megan's pictures! How fun is this picture?? I don't even remember where I got this little tea set, but it has provided many hours of dainty "tea" time.

I made poppyseed muffins and Megan brought egg quiches.

But the real attraction was the chocolate milk, of course.

And the many scoops of sugar. :)

I die! This has to be the sweetest thing ever! Miss Rubi taking a sip.

There were lots of spills, but it was a success! I had fun reading to them, The Paper Bag Princess, while they ate, as well as some other books. I'm so glad my boys have these cute princesses for friends. Life would sure be dull without them!

I don't know why, but these pictures are kinda making me a little teary eyed. That is the most precious thing ever. Those kids are all so sweet & the moments were captured perfectly. I love the dainty hands by you pouring 'tea', ruby's dainty sips & Weston's dainty stirring of his sugar. Precious.

How adorable is this?? I love all of the fun things you think of. I remember playing tea with the set Mom and Dad got me for Christmas in Grandmothers kitchen. Tea sets bring good memories :)
