My Last Supper

Rachel and I decided to do a sugar diet.
When Trav got home and I told him, he promptly texted Rach,
"Why do you hate me?"
She didn't get it at all. Her husband was thrilled with our endeavor.
Now to be fair, maybe sugar diet isn't the best wording... more like dessert diet.
I hear some people announce their sugar diets, but then assure that they'll still be eating things like ketchup and orange juice. That gives me a good chuckle.
I, on the other hand, will still be eating my Fiber Plus Dark Chocolate Granola Bars.
Hey, it's not considered a dessert (except now it will be) and it only has 7g of sugar per bar. That's a load less than the 17 raisins in my morning oatmeal that weigh in at 29g of sugar.
And I imagine that I'll be going back to freezing my {No Sugar Added, Chocolate Carnation Breakfast Drink} to be consumed as my late night treat.
Hey, I've got to have options.
As it is, I've had to deter continuous instincts throughout the day to grab handfuls of the delectable, chocolate, egg morsels that are sitting so innocently in my Easter pail.
And I chose an orange after my sandwich instead of a cookie.
Folks, that's progress.
So last night, I had my last binge. THE GOAL: Make myself sick with sweets. Not rocket science.
So, normally I would wecome any {Good Luck} wishes, but I think they should probably be directed at my now {buddyless} dessert eating companion. He doesn't take to Splenda sweetened Orange Julius' or the absence of freshly baked cookies very well.
He'll live. Hope I do too.
(The end date is May 10.... anyone that wants to join us is more than welcome to! :)

This is great because I told Adam the other night I was going to start one again. I noticed good results the last time I did and now that I'm running more, I hope it pays off. Why May 10th though? I was just noticing AGAIN (in your pics for Collin's b day) how skinny you are. Is it for summer? Great minds must think alike since we all decided to do this at the same time. I'll probably start next week though and, like Jenni,
eat stuff on Easter. I was going to comment on his b day post, but might as well here. Collin seems so much bigger in his face, than Pax so I thought he was. Pax is a little guy too and I try to fatten him up, but he's allergic to milk and that's how Gage kept weight on. I think your cake turned out so cute. I'm not going to do a fondant cake for my kids when they are young because 1. they don't appreciate the time you put into it and 2. It's hard for them to eat the fondant anyways. I love themed parties.

I should join you, but I don't know if I can. I wish I could that would probably help me a lot. Maybe I will have to call you and get some good tips. Good luck.

I actually just started a no-dessert diet two days ago & I am dying. I've already had dreams about eating dessert...it's ridiculous. I have little breaks (like for Easter & my anniversary) scheduled but I am a sugar addict so that's tough for me. It will help knowing that you are doing it too! Sorry I can't go until May 10th with you but I am taking baby steps! GOOD LUCK!
