Well, on actual Halloween night, we were scrooges and only handed out candy to one group of trick or treaters before heading out to dinner with some friends. Then we ended up at the Shaheen's house to carve pumpkins. I guess we're all getting rusty on keeping with traditions, because no one was too eager to jump into the pumkin guts. So between three families, this is the only pumpkin that got to fulfill his "Halloween destiny". Trav gutted it and Bron and Doug each carved a side. This was Bron's side, a tooth. He's gonna be a good dentist :)
Got to have a family picture! I'm sad you can't see Collin's onsie, because it was a cute ghost face that Grandma Evan's sent in a Halloween package. (This package even had REAL Mexican tortillas from AZ. I love good tortillas, you know the kind you can sort of see through)
Then on Sunday, Nov.1, Rachel and Crescent had their birthdays! We celebrated by having the Carters, Shaheens, Camille, Cardons, and of course the Shaws and Marchants over. We scarfed on Cafe Rio and got sugar highs from Megan's yummy cheesecake and chocolate cake. Then on Monday the celebrating continued with dinner at Olive Garden. (Luckily, there were no surprises for Rach in her napkin)These are some friends from the Amherst side of town :)... Kendra, Megan, Jen, Rach, me, Crescent, and Heather. Afterward, we went to the mall to go shopping. When I told Trav that we were going to the mall to hang out, he sarcastically asked if we were going to go pick up on guys. We all kind of agreed it felt a bit high schoolish to go to the mall but it was still a lot of fun.
On to Tuesday! This little guy was in desperate need of a haircut. His mohawk was so long, it kept flopping over, looking much like a curl. I started trying new styles like a comb over, "butt crack hair", and even a ponytail hehe, but Trav was not likin' it. (The only way he let me even do the ponytail, was if I swore I wouldn't post it on the blog :( sad, cuz it was stinkin cute)
In the Bumbo, ready to cut....

Later that night I had Bunco at Camille's house. We decided to get creative when there happened to be a "tie" for a prize. In this case, there was a three way tie for Most Buncos. So they all had to do a {jig}. It was hilarious.
I believe Natalie won.
Then we had another tie and Tiff and Chanda had a push up contest. So glad I wasn't involved in this one! I only do {girl} pushups and not many at that!
As for Wednesday, we had some more "Mesa-onians" come to the Buff for interviews, so Amy and her husband, Bret came to stay for a couple nights. Last week we had Lucas Brimley come stay with us while he interviewed. We're crossing our fingers that we get some more fun people out here next year!
And finally, today and tomorrow we get to have Miss Lily come hang out with us while her mom is working at a shot clinic. Collin is all smiles when he sees her. She is such a good baby, but it is a bit of a wake up on what it would be like to have TWO kids. Just a bit more juggling. Hopefully, I'll never have two kids this close in age though. :)

Sounds as if you had a great week! And look at little Collin sitting up as big as you please! We miss you.
I think you just jinxed yourself not wanting babies that close together. If you say it out loud or type it, it is bound to happen. Knock on wood!
Fun! You are such a party animal! You always have something going on which is a good thing if you ask me. SO that's where you were on Halloween! I told you we tried trick-or-treating at your house, didn't I? I'm glad you got a picture of my push-ups. Not! At least it wasn't the jig. That was so fun. Have fun babysitting! Call me tomoroow if you get bored or go crazy!
Oh...i'm glad the dragon is getting good use. Know that the slide is a well loved toy in our house. I will have to give it back in another month or so because I bet Collin will have fun with it by then!
You are so good at blog updates, it just really puts me to shame!! I can't believe Collin already had a hair cut...why is it so dang hard for my kids to grow hair??? Thanks again for all of the fun times at your place this last week..are you worn out yet?!
OMGosh, I can't believe that peach shirt you are wearing is STILL around! I bought that at Ross before I was married!!!
Collin is getting so big, sitting up all by himself. Enjoy the
non-mobil stage, life get's interesting when they can cruise by themselves:)
Um you can wear a shirt from way back when....what is your secret of skinny one??? Also I want to know how you do your hair!! The Taylor Swift hair is adorable and I want to copy.
ps your apples turned out way better than mine so it is a good thing I didn't share any secrets with you...we used that same kind of chocolate but it sure didn't look like yours. Stop being so wonderful and stop having so much fun with parties...I'm beyond jealous!!! =) love ya!!!!
Ha ha, so glad you got a pic of their jig...I can still see Natalies face, so classic!! And look at Colin sitting up all by himself, such a BIG boy now!!! Love his new look!
Are you alive over there? This is the longest you have ever gone without posting!
