Isn't my husband wonderful? He has graded and filed papers, cleaned desks, been my bodyguard on late nights in my classroom, and listened to all my stories of my fifth graders for the past two years. He even helps out at the crazy end-of-the-year parties.
This is the last day of school and it was SO sad to leave and know I won't be coming back. I cried a river, just ask the kids. They are well acquainted with my "water works" skills, as they call it. :)
My little sister Marcie came to help on the last day too. My little brother Craig just finished first grade. When he was entering Kindergarten, I was beginning my first year teaching! Crazy!
You can't see in the picture, but the kids are using straws to blow bubbles on their desks with that bubble soap you can buy. Messy, but fun! Only on the last day!
