September

Olive and Scarlett made the cutest water park!

I think this was from Labor Day. Mom with her surgi gloves!

Dive meet against Williamsfield was fun because Connor goes there!

Us cousins got together for a Country Music night at Hale Theater's new concert venue! It was all 90's female country music and it was SO FUN! There were several singers who rotated through and we loved all the songs and were dancing and singing along!

I volunteered to chaperone Olive's dance retreat overnight, which meant I was gone for Grandparent's Day at Greenfield Elementary. Grandma and Grandpa came through though and Tanner was very spoiled with McDonald's and his pick of books at the book fair! Grandma got him a Big Mac AND chicken nuggets and fries and he ate it all! They joined him in his class and he drew pictures of them and did an interview and got to go to recess too! It was all very cute.

So fun that Lindi got to come to Inspire's dance retreat this year too! It was at the Elk Youth Camp again near Roosevelt Lake... a little over 2 hours away. I drove a car full of girls and chaperoned the Ignite cabin. We had 12 girls in 6 bunk beds. Lots of personalities and no one wanted to sleep. One girl thought she lost her phone at one point and was full on hysterical. Sobbing and freaking out and would not be consoled. All the girls tried helping. I tried talking to her. Everyone was searching. So. much. drama. And then she found it... in her backpack. Oy. Last year it was fun to chaperone... not this year. I told Olive I loved her but would not be back next year!
There is zero cell service so I got a little reading in from Addison Pratt's book.

After a night of no sleep, I accompanied them through their team building classes the next day.

We drove home Saturday late afternoon and went straight to Boca!!
Paige answered Collin to Homecoming! A beta fish.... yayyyyy ;)

After a bike ride and playing on the playground equipment with Tanner, I needed it documented that I was a fun mom. Doesn't happen often!

The boys love to hop in bed with us when we're winding down and beg to watch Instagram reels. This is them trying to do a trick they saw... sliding down while supporting each other without falling. They did it!

I don't make homemade bread much, but when I do, a ham and cheese sandwich with pickles hits the spot!!

Collin wanted a fade that is popular right now and I didn't want to mess it up so I paid for him to go to a barber. And then THEY messed it up! He came home "chopped" as they say. So I paid $38 and had to cut his hair anyway. Ugh.

Still loving my Tuesday morning shift at the temple!! I took this video as one of many that I used to make our Easter pageant audition video. Holy cow it was a lot of work!! But I love how it turned out. I put it to the song "That's Who I Praise" by Brandon Lake. LOVEEEEE that song!

Weston is always gone to other friends houses on the weekends so we convinced him to invite friends to Grandma's house since she has a pool. We ordered pizza and wings and they watched a movie. These are his "ALA" friends. Landon came over to hang out with Tanner so he had a buddy.

Olive's first orchestra concert of 7th grade!

Woke Tanner up for scriptures and found him "planking" in bed haha.

David and Abbey moved from Agritopia to Queen Creek and Travis was nice enough to go help for the day. Marcie had Nora for the morning then I met her at my mom's house for the afternoon to help and took Nora with us to Tanner's football game that night before bringing her home.

It was Paige's birthday (18!! My son is dating an adult) and part of their date was decorating her cake. It was so cute! She's very artistic!

We had to go upgrade Olive's violin and there are farm animals on the property (it's a little mom and pop shop in a neighborhood). This pig was the highlight of their day!
Marcie is the SWEETEST and brought her whole family (Austin showed up too!) to the boys dive meet at Brimhall. It was sweltering and she earned aunt of the year!
I love seeing Travis coach them.

LaRee invited me to go see Benson Boone!! She is going through a divorce and was sad when James already bought their girls tickets so he could go with them. I've been spending time with her over the past few months, checking in on her and having long talks. I was so glad to go and have some FUN with her after so many tears.
Olive was already going with her friend, Allison. They had floor tickets and she had a great time. I couldn't believe how close she was!

I ran into my friend, Maren, when we got there!
Truth be told, I didn't know his songs until I knew I was going to this concert. So I spent weeks cramming and it wasn't hard to become a fan. He's got great energy and lots of back flips! It was a good time!

Always revamping the chore charts. Tanner is now solely in charge of walking Winnie and this was the sign he made himself to remember.
The boys stay busy with dive. Coach still puts them in a few swim events and they go to swim practice once a week. Weston goes to school early on the other days to wrestling practice.

I got an email from Tanner's teacher:
"I wanted to let you know that Tanner will be receiving the Be Kind Award at our assembly on Friday, September 26th. Tanner is always so thoughtful and caring toward others, and this award recognizes the kindness he shows each day in our classroom."
So proud of him!

Another dive meet!

We finally got to do a birthday date with our August birthday girls! We got acai bowls then did a Halloween pillow craft which turned out so cute! I just got the irony of the Lonely Ghost gift paired with our ghost pillows haha!

When your 8 year old just REALLY wants to ride in the race car grocery cart.

The stake primary had a service activity that I took Tanner to.

Sunday puffed up pancakes will always reign supreme around here.

First day of October break was actually Sept. 29!
I met Marcie and Katie at Odysea Aquarium and paid a bajillion dollars to go in. My word, this place is ridiculous! But the kids had fun, so yolo! I feel like I never do stuff like this anymore so I was glad Tanner got an age appropriate activity to do!

Tanner is learning to text on the ipad. His messages kept getting more and more desperate until apparently he died. ;)

Olive and her friends requested I take them to get smoothies at the new Smoothie King in the Fry's plaza. I should be honored but she just wanted me to pay.

Me and another mom took the group's Homecoming pictures in downtown Gilbert! I was excited to be asked. I wasn't expecting how exhausting it would be to take 30 kids' pictures. Luckily, the other mom, Debbie, Niu, did all the editing. Phew! I thought they turned out adorable. Even when it started raining on us! Collin had a great time. Apparently the mosh pit at the dance was epic.

Olive's dance pictures for the year!
She is on the Ignite dance team at Inspire. They compete in contemporary, musical theater and jazz.

This is everyone from Dance Company... Spark, Ignite, Shine and Illuminate

She is also on the Senior Tap competition team.

Finally, she's on the hip hop competition team, Young i/e. This is her favorite team.
