Mother's Day!
I forgot to include that after we got home last night at 11pm, Trav went out to Wal-mart to get some ingredients for making breakfast today.
He fixed us all a yummy French Toast breakfast at his parent's house.
Here is Olive getting a post breakfast treat.. whipped cream on a Ritz cracker.
Sacrament meeting was wonderful. My parent's ward always blows me away. I forget that it's not uncommon to have a special musical number in different wards. ;) The speakers were really good and the concluding one told about his experiences with mothers in Pakistan, and the trials they endure. Quite the tear jerker and certainly made me grateful for my pampered life in America.
The guys banded together to put on a yummy Mother's Day dinner. Taco salad with molten chocolate cakes for dessert. Bravo for men in the kitchen!
I love these ladies. I really am so SO grateful that my mom pushed 8 of us out. OK, pushed and went under anesthesia to have a couple yanked out. ;) She has sacrificed so much for our family. And it's so wonderful to have sisters! I will persevere in the kids department, mostly to get Olive a sister. But more brothers would be great too. :)
These girlies LOVE to dance! You go, girls!
It's cheesy, but my heart is full when I'm with these yahoos. I love being a Lindblom. It's a good place to belong. :)
We gave both our moms, Hawaiian themed gifts this year consisting of chocolate covered macadamia nuts, chocolate covered pineapple bits and Hawaiian sea salt. Oh, and some homemade soap from the Dallas farmer's market. Thatttt didn't really belong.
My mother-in-law is so thoughtful to always get her daughters and daughters-in-law, Mother's Day gifts. I'm so grateful for Paula. I got so lucky to marry into her family. She's so loving and supportive of me. I always feared the dreaded "mother in law", but it turns out, I got the best one!
Collin made this at Shelley's house for me and was super distraught when he realized he left it. His face literally lit up when Shelley brought it with her that night. :)
(I like when you take me to my baseball games.)
I'm glad I felt happy during the day because the drive home was one of the worst yet! Collin started running a fever, but at least him and Olive slept. Weston slept very restlessly and would start inconsolably crying in 15-20 min. intervals. So I was constantly trying to soothe him the entire drive. I was exhausted and poor Trav probably felt the same way. Needless to say, it felt GOOD to be home! We had been gone so long, it was a weird feeling to walk inside. Back to real life!
