A trip home for the weekend, makes me muy caliente! .... sorry, felicidades! (OK, my husband just informed me that means congratulations, not "happy", like I thought.)
So actually, we'll stick with caliente. Man, that place is nasty hot!

Highlights of the trip:
*Stopping in Gallup on the way over and seeing Bron's new, snazzy office and their new home!
*Wanting to strangle Collin on the drive. (Seriously, my feelings toward him did not bode well with any hopes of Celestial exaltation. I will more likely be damned to Pima.)
*Watching A Goofy Movie in the back with kids is some relief. "The leaning tower of Cheez-a!"
*Temple trip with my honey. (Gotta make amends with the big guy, for the aforementioned omission. :)
*Shopping and lunch with my sista! She is the best person ever to buy clothes with. I need serious help after 4 + years of being completely out of style. I may have even walked away with a metallic skirt in my Forever 21 bag.
Yummy cupcakes at Caketini! Yay, for San Tan!
*Swimming and din din with the Lindbloms! Collin was STOKED to do all things aquatic. Including the slide. Just look at the glee on that face.
Why haven't we put him in swim lessons yet??!!
*Spending time with my best cous. :) Leah rocks.
*A heart stopping moment when I turned at dinner and saw two, fully uniformed policemen in the entry way. Still not used to the sight of Marcie's boyfriend when he's working! :)
Hide the drugs!
Another coworker of his came later, and they all were in separate police cars. I'm sure the neighbors were wondering what was going on at the Lindblom's house!
Is there anything more scrumptious than this boy?! I guess, only when he's covered in ice cream. :)
*A late night run to Bahama Bucks!
Seriously haven't had this in at least 8 years.
Make it a Bahama Mama Rama!
We are simply hysterical. :)
(Anjane- We saw your parents, Shawn and Ashley in the drive through on our way out! Way fun! Haven't seen them in years. Can't wait til I get to run into YOU in Mesa again. :)
*Laaaate night talk- a- thon with the super fun Josie Thompson. I can be twitching with fatigue and still not want to go to bed when there is good conversation to be had.
*Break the fast with the entire Evans fam damly! Haven't seen them in over a year. Uncle Ned is still a hoot.
*Labor Day morning.... possibly my favorite of all!! My sisters and I joined my mom in her Jazzercise class.
OK, confession. I always pictured this as a room full of the elderly folk, sorta exercising to 80's music.
Not so!!!
It was basically a dance aerobics class and it kicked my boo-tay.
Clubbin' music and an instructor that made sounds much like she was having other sorts of fun... if you get my drift.
Best. time. ever.
Especially when you add in breakfast at Crackers and Co. right after.
Gotta get those calories back!
We danced all the way back home.
I have the best family.
*Afternoon BBQ and swimming with the Evans! No pictures, cuz I am lame.
*Trav sliced his foot on the bottom of the pool. Nothin' a little turpentine and super glue can't fix.
*I made the nastiest pasta salad EVER. And you know why?? Cuz I tried to make it healthy with some non-fat Greek yogurt. Barfarama. Such the disappointment. Lesson learned... love your mayonnaise and it will love you back.
*Watch out for Secilie. She may only be 18 months, but she will kick your trash. And enjoy it.
*Saying goodbye is the pits. But grabbing a Citrus Squeeze Jamba Juice and Panda Express on the way out, makes it better.
*Regrets..... didn't see either Grandmother or Grandma and Grandpa! Big thumbs down. Time just flew. Also wish there was time to squeeze in Jess and Jen. Next time for shizzle.

*I fulfilled a dream of mine on the drive home. It's pretty monumental.
I learned how to eat sunflower seeds!!! Yessssss. Such enjoyment. I always saw people fill empty water bottles and cups with sunflower shells and thought, coolness. I wish I could do that. And now. I can.
*No stops or traffic = 6 hour drive home. And Collin only screamed and cried, "I WANT MY BEEEEEED!" maybe 80 times. No biggie.
*Collin offered the most sincere prayer as we started home. "Thank you our car be safe. Thank you we drive safe. Thank you for our two houses we can stay at."
It was so sweet. He was really so grateful for our two grandma's houses and the time we spent with cousins. Agreed.
We are lucky duckies.

Well, I don't know if it's more pathetic that I am commenting minutes after you posted this or that I was totally excited to get a personal shout-out on your blog. Ha. My mom told me that she saw you guys & I asked her, "Are you sure it was Stephanie? Because she lives in New Mexico." Like she doesn't know the difference between you girls. Anyway, I loved the post & am glad that you saw my family!
I love reading your blog! You are seriously so funny! That is so nice you are driving distance! Gallup is only 4 hours away :). It was so fun to see you! We need to plan a camping trip soon! I miss you!

I love when you update fast after a trip and I get to re-live it all over again through pictures :) I wish we could go shopping all the time together... it was super fun minus trecking across the country to find chipotle haha. When it first started we were just warming up and then the lady started shaking her booty I looked over at you right away and you had the biggest smile on your face hahaha I was like oh my gosh Steph is gonna love this now that we're shaking it!
