A bad day to forget deoderant.....

Yesterday morning I decided to be productive and get a run in before my YW meeting at 10am. I grabbed the spare keys, locked the door, threw them in the mailbox and started jogging. After my three miles were up, I fish the keys out of the mailbox and discover that the house key is not on it! I resort to the garage, looking through tools to see if I can somehow break in. Funny how the lock companies don't put screws on the outside of locks to dismantle them. It was freezing cold, and I didn't have my phone or many options. So I walked to Tiffany's house to see if she can give me a ride to the school, where I can get a key from Trav. Just my luck, Tiff's not home. I can't think of anyone else that would be home in the middle of the morning. I was going to just wait for her, but it's below 40 degrees, and I'm slowly turning to a popcicle. It was a matter of survival. So I started jogging to Natalie's house (She is about 2 1/2 miles away and the YW President, so our meeting was going to be at her house). I figured I might see Tiff's car drive by on the way to the meeting, and I could flag her down. After about a mile and half, I do see Tiff's car and I start jumping up and down, waving my arms wildly to try and get her attention. No luck. At this point it's starting to drizzle, I'm praying that it doesn't snow, and I deliriously start laughing my head off. I'm sure all the other cars that saw me spazzing out, were a little confused and probably very wary of me. I eventually made it to Natalie's house just in time for our meeting to start (albeit, stinky, sweaty, and exhausted). I apologized profusely and everyone else was nice enough to assure me that they had not yet showered, brushed their teeth, etc. , but I just couldn't bring myself to tell them I had also forgotten deoderant that morning ( I guess they know now!! :) Afterward, Tiff was nice enough to drive me to UB to get a key from Travis.
I've never in my life jogged that far (sad, I know) and I will be generously giving myself the next week off! :) Fortunately for me, it didn't start snowing until later that evening. Yep, snowing. Snowing in October. What have we gotten ourselves into?!!!

Funny/ sad story. Don't run too much though. You're going to be sore tomorrow. It's been a long time since I ran that far. Now my vericose (sp?) veins hurt when I'm pregnant and exercise. I'm trying though.

Great job on all the running. I am glad you were able to make it to your friends house and get back home at some point, Maybe you need a key hidden outside some where.

Steph you're crazy! I wouldn't even be outside in that cold of weather let alone jogging in it!

also I hope no chester molesters that read your blog come and steal your keys to your house now that you've given away your secret hiding place....

I love that you laughed deliriously. Come what may, and love it, right? At least you got some good exercise!
