For mutual on Wednesday, we were combinded with the YM, and headed to an awesome, outdoor skating rink! I can't even remember the last time I went ice skating, so I was a bit apprehensive, but by the time we were leaving, I was having so much fun, I was busting out some rockin' dance moves on the ice. (Kris Allen's song came on! You just HAVE to dance.) Here's some of us at the beginning...
A few spills... no harm done.
The whole gang...Minus this lady. Someone had to keep Gavin company! I'm so sad, because Rach was released from YW today!! Pout pout. Life is so unfair! :)

Oh, and don't forget LeAnn, who wasn't quite getting the hang of things and spent most of the time on the side. It was really such a fun activity and just a few blocks from the church. I can't wait to go again!
This weekend we got together with some of our friends and realized we had never taken a picture of the kids together. They are each, almost exactly six months apart. We are just missing Elsie, who was born the day after Collin. We love our buddies!
On Saturday, we made a run to Sam's Club, and while deciding on which frozen dinner to best clog our arteries with, we realized Collin had gotten pretty comfy in his seat. Just chillin' like a villain.
After we got home from our break, Collin started taking baths in the REAL tub. No more sissy baby tub. He loves it. He was just lacking some fun toys. That's when I remembered I still had a gift card to Pottery Barn. Since I knew the gift card would cover maybe the leg on a chair or a quarter of a rug, I had given up looking around. But lo and behold... we found two bath toy sets for $25!! Obviously not a screamin' deal, but I'll take it!
I love this picture because you can see the water droplets being splashed in the air.
That's a well placed frog!
Little stinker took a liking to the shiny faucet and started pulling himself up to it! First time he's really been able to get himself on his knees. And of all places, above porcelain. I need to relax.
Then, last night I wasn't really paying close attention, when I smelled what could only be poop. I looked down. Yup. It was poop. I scoured the bath tub this morning and HOW does he thank me? He poops in it. Besides the thick strip you see here, there was also a chunk under his leg and the floaties had quickly dispersed throughout the water. Do you think it bothered him one bit? Of course not. Do you think Trav was home to help? Of course not. (Every other bath, he's around, except the one, I really needed him for)
I was excited to finally make him a new hooded towel this week. I think it turned out pretty good. I just got the directions HERE online.
Yea! A towel that actually covers his whole body!
This is what the back looks like, with a pleat in the middle.
He's also become a champion escape artist when I'm trying to diaper and clothe him. Inevitably, I look away for one second and this is what greets me when I look back. Sure is a cute back side though. He takes after his daddy. :)

What an absolutely precious little guy you have. This Grandma enjoyed the video. Love to see the pictures of my little man. Miss you all.
Ohhhh I want pinch that cute bumbum!!!! I love this age, thayt are getting a little more independent and their personalities are really coming out. And SICK ....poop in the tub....ALL kids do it at least once. Amelia had a phase and did it almost everytime she took a bath....It only lasted a few day and I switched her bath time and we solved that nasty little problem. Good job on the hoodie towel....I had one for Ryker and a few months ago bought the stuff to make Amelia one and I forgot about it so thanks for the reminder!!!!! Ok love ya and keep posting.....keep posting crafts and such. I love to ideas and motivation.
Loved the post! Ice skating was fun! You guys all looked like pros out there! We'll have to go again! I love the picture of the 3 kids. So cute! And Collin just has so much personality!!! I love his smiles & laughs! The towel looks great! Way to be so creative!
Did you help the YW choregraph a dance on the ice? 'cuz you should...think about it. It's a winner.
Also, poop in the tub. Blah! What kills me is that you took the picture. What if he had reached his adorable little hand down there and tried to eat a chunk. {i just barfed in my mouth} I am so glad you have the pic. though, cuz when he is 17 and being rotten, you can threaten him with it...or maybe he'll think it's cool? Darn boys.
Poop, nice. Leah's right though, they all seem to do it at least once. I've wanted to make a big towel that fits around him and yours turned out cute, so I'll have to try it out. What a cutie pie.
So I always seem to forget part of what I was going to say.. you are so naturally pretty. I know that you used to complain about always getting the litte breakouts, but now your skin seems perfect. Did you just grow out of it, or what are you using. I can't believe I'm 27 and still having all of these breakouts. I don't know if part of it's the difference between an IUD and the pill, but it sucks. I've tried Mary Kay and Clinique, something better than the generic I've been using, and it's still not better. I'll stick with it a little longer.
His teeth are SO cute! Sorry about the poop...I haven't had to deal with that yet *knock on wood!*
K I seriously can't stop laughing right now because of the poop in the tub picture! That is just too funny...and I love the chillin picture in sams club. You are so good to always have your camera on hand to capture every moment. I always tell myself I need to be more like you with that. I'm not kidding you are amazing. But seriously the poop, I'm still laughing.
Ummm, your child is PRECIOUS. SO DARN CUTE.
